ABOUT ME

Uniquely blending the strategic rigor of business with the profound insights of the contemplative world.

With over 25 years of international business experience in consultancy and large corporation, I have led cross-functional and cross-cultural teams, driving significant organizational changes.
My time as a General Manager in large organizations has deepened my passion for people. I firmly believe that having the right, engaged person in the right role is key to achieving business success.

I began my career at a small consultancy firm specializing in organizational design, where I had the opportunity to see the entire process of setting up a business. 

Afterward, I joined Unilever, one of the largest FMCG corporations in the world, where I spent 25 years. During this time, I experienced a variety of roles: from sales to marketing, local to international positions, pure branding to full business management, across different categories (with ice cream probably stealing my heart and taste buds 🍧).

 

I had the opportunity to move to Rotterdam for six years with my family, working at the corporate headquarters. There, I learned about personal development, team leadership, feedback culture, agile work, the future of work, and replicable business models. I was exposed to concepts like people empowerment, continuous improvement, and lifelong learning, while interacting with many different cultures and nationalities. This is when I trained to become a coach, leveraging communication tools and techniques to better lead my team.

 

In 2019, I returned to Italy as the General Manager of Grom, an Italian ice cream business acquired by Unilever. It was an incredible experience: I led the integration of an entrepreneurial company into the parent company. I saw firsthand the impact of different organizational cultures on business results and learned how crucial it is to have the right people in the right place to implement a strategy effectively.

 

In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic hit the business hard. I had to lead significant transformations, design new business models, and learn how to lead people differently. During this time, I started practicing mindfulness as part of Unilever's Internal Champion programs. It was highly beneficial, helping me maintain focus and positivity during the challenging pandemic period. I then began running mindfulness programs within the company and later externally.

Today, I am the proud mother of two teenage boys, who constantly remind me that the only constant in life is change. Even when I am reluctant to change, they remind me that life is all about change.

In my personal development journey, I have spent considerable time understanding what truly recharges me—a crucial aspect when living a busy life. I love spending time in nature, practicing conscious dance, meditating, reading, and writing.

I was born in Italina and have argentinian origins: this constantly reminds me that there is always more than one perspective in life.

You Only Live Once

When I started observing the positive impact that practicing mindfulness was having on people, I was so impressed that I decided to promote as much as possible the practice of mindfulness, both in business and personal environment. I found amazing how something that is so easily accessible to anyone of us can improve quality of life. That's when I founded Yolo Mindfulness.

I chose the name YOLO, that stands for "You Only Live Once", as a reminder of the importance of living fully in every moment. To achieve this, we must break free from autopilot mode and live consciously in each moment. Presence is fundamental. Mindfulness practice has helped me embrace each moment fully, accepting whatever it brings.

 

For me YOLO it's a reminder of the importance of living consciously in the present moment and savoring every single moment of life.

This approach results from years of hands-on business experience, during which I directly witnessed the impact of mental health and holistic well-being on individual balance and happiness, and how significantly this can influence business results and productivity. In organizations, people engagement can directly impact strategy execution.

 

Mindfulness practice taught me that our external experiences are a reflection of our inner game, both personally and at work.
